There are 8 fields to be marked out at Wentworth Park see this link for location of fields ADD LINK
An alternate colour from white will be used to line the fields as the fields will be lined for Touch to start on Monday at 17:00. Need to be off and cleaned up before Touch starts on Monday.
Quote has been given by CCC.
Need to ask if any one has played on fields that are lined in something other than white or black.
64 cones will be needed to line 8 fields
8 score boards (one for each field)
August
Jeff currently has all score boards except for the two that JK has and one that Lysh has.
He has made repairs to each score board as needed and ordered new numbers as necessary.
Looking to coming up with a way to mark which team is which on the board….maybe just a piece of contact paper and a marker?
Water is available in all of the buildings. There is water in the toilets of Frisbee Central, In the ablution block near fields 7 and 8. In the men and women's change rooms.
Aiming to have two water containers are each field. One with water the other with Poweraid/Gatorade.
16 water containers (one water and one Gatorade for each field)

ask Cancer Council - Lysh
Lysh emailed Ambulance Private, Tas Ambulance Services, and St John's on 11 October 2009
“David from Ambulance Private just rang and gave me a rough quote of $45 per hour but wanted more detail from us so he could quote accurately.
He wanted to know
How many grounds we will be using at Wentworth at any one time. How many injuries occurred at last years event, and how many per day. What type of injuries did they encounter.
The brief quote was $45 per hour for one person but depending on the information that we give them will depend on if this is accurate.
Obviously we will need to email last years organisers to find out the answers and I thought that we should get onto that sooner rather than later and you would possibly have that information at your finger tips?
David also mentioned that in the past there have been Reciprocal Ambulance Services across the states and territories of Australia but it is dwindling off so that we may need to encourage our participants to get travel insurance so that if transported to hospital during competition or at any time during there stay here in Tassie that they don't get slugged with $1000 Ambulance bill.”
Kieren Blake asked around at TAS (where he works) his response was:
“i had a talk with the supervisor here at TAS (which was cut short rudely by someone wanting an ambulance!) it seems that the 3 options here in tassi are TAS- emerg services most expensive but the highest level of care St .Johns Ambulance private
now.. TAS may not be necessary to have on standby and if we do need them they can get there pretty quick. this will cover any serious issues that require transport (neither of the others are allowed to transport to hospital).
St Johns have a very wide range of skill level within their volunteers. from Dr/paramedic/ICU nurse level through to the most rudimentary of 1st aiders (unfortunately this is the majority). my supervisor suggested that i ring the st johns manager and try and tee up a better level of skill for the day if we were to go with them. he has the contact no's etc but i didn't to ring him (the aforementioned interruption).
leave it with me and i'll get onto it tomorrow. i leave for QLD on thurs so i'll get as much info before then as poss. I'm back on the 20th which is getting a bit late 4 you I'd imagine. (it doesn't mean that i will be off-line for all the time, just some of it)
I'll also find out about the reciprocal arrangements for cover, and the cost of the options, and all the other details…”
Keiren followed up with:
I had a chat with the volunteer organiser at st john's. i told her that we would like a slightly higher level of care than your average workplace 2 volly- ie. a nurse or something like that. she seemed to think that it would be possible and that we should fill out the forms with a note attached and she'll see whose available. if there is a suitable crew that we are happy with then we could go ahead with the booking.
the cost is $33/hr flat rate. by the way…TAS is $330 for the 1st 3 hrs (min) then $92/hr afer this. (TAS= tas amb service
It seems that amb private offers the same level of care as st john's.
As far as emergency ambulance coverage goes for interstate players, its a little complex, but here goes TAS has a reciprocal arrangement with all states and territories except QLD and SA. this means that any emerg amb cost is automatically absorbed by TAS as long as the player HAS ambulance coverage in their own state. This MUST be via a levee or membership arrangement. Players from SA and QLD are still covered ( if they are covered at home) but the player will be billed and then their own service will reimburse them or TAS (not exactly sure which, but whoever ends up paying) TAS accepts all health care cards and pension cards from all states and territories, but this only covers road transport not air
if a player is not covered in their own state then they are not covered here.
if a player is covered by a private health fund/insurance then they need to be sure that they are covered for interstate travel, it would be worth while to find out if this is both road and air if players are going to explore tassi whilst they are here.
The biggest issue i can see with st j's is with high energy collisions (head and spine inj). this is a quick way to end your day/tourny cause you inevitably spend 4-12 hrs stuck at ED. I am more than happy to come out of play for any situation like this to do some on field triage and save someone the time & hassle of an unnecessary trip to the royal!!!! (there's a bunch of us with med training who could render assistance if willing/nes.) i will need to discuss this with st j's if we go ahead with them.
i think if St j's can get us a good crew then they would be the provider of choice. if it is just the normal standard then we could see if a few of us can render assistance for anyone that is recommended transport to RHH by st j's. I'll put a note into our comms for the day for what its worth
i've attached the forms from st j's…one with a little note in for them from me.
see Kieren's email above for info.
Shavawn sending forms off to St John's on Monday 6 September with the note that Kieren has attached in order to try to get a higher level of care for the three days.

Alysia is contacting Clarence FC to make sure that we can use the canteen and if we can get access to the the kitchen area and back window to serve outside.
Shavawn and JK went out to meet Leigh to look at the canteen area at Wentworth Park. He said that we can use the back room and mentioned that we should make sure to ask the Council for the keys to the roller door.
The soccer club will no longer have anything in the back room so we are welcome to use it. There is one large fridge, a microwave, and two pie heaters. There is also another fridge in the canteen that the soccer club says we can also use.
