Yep, interested. Their PR/marketing person is coming in to see Tim on Friday 3 April. By the end of this meeting Tim should have a concept nutted out and the beginnings of an agreement between TUA and the Foundation. Tim will not formally commit to anything before running it past the TUA and AMUC committee. To ensure everything is squared up Tim is aiming for a formal documented agreement, nothing complicated, just so both parties are aware of roles and responsibilities
For the national and international distribution (Tim really think there will be a demand) Tim proposes we use an online seller. Tim had an in principle chat to Richard Sampson from Discology and he is interested in covering sales for Australasia and Europe. Am going to find another online seller for Can/North America/South America. Richard has suggested Discovering the World, DTworld.com.
Tim wants to limit the distribution to UTAS, TUA and a couple of online sellers otherwise it is too much hassle with funds and getting the fundraising component of the sale back to Tas.
Once item 1 is stitched up Tim will move onto this. Who are the best graphics people in TUA we can tap on the shoulder? At this stage Tim is thinking of TUA web page, Tas Devil web page, devil graphic, text explaining that proportion of the sale goes to helping the devil (maybe not necessary)
Tim has a price list from Discraft and they have agreed to give us a 20 % discount.
Down the track will put together an info flyer on the initiative to send around the networks. This text can also be used by the online sellers. If we can do it, English, Spanish and maybe Chinese.
