The TUA Women's Development Officer is the chief officer for women's development for the TUA.
The Women's Development Officer is directly responsible to the President of the TUA and the members of the TUA.
The Women's Development Officer should:
Develop an annual women's development plan.
Liaise with the Media Officer and Youth Development Officer in regards to promotion and women’s participation opportunities
Communicate interstate opportunities for event participation.
Identify and develop opportunities for player and coaching development for women.
Liaise with a Sub-Committee for women’s development
Provide monthly updates to the Executive Committee
Produce an annual report in relation to the role of Women’s Development Officer
Complete handover interview on entering and exiting position.
Access to internet, email, web, and a word processing program.
Strong written (especially email) and oral communication skills.
Be a member of the AFDA and TUA and abide by their policies.
Work well in a team.
Ideally the Women's Development Officer is someone who:
Interested in furthering the development of women players in Tasmania.
Is well organised.
Knowledge of the TUA and AFDA operations, rules and policies.
The Women's Development Officer is appointed by the TUA Executive Committee for a term of 12 months.
The estimated time commitment required as the women's Development Officer of the TUA is approximately 5 hours a week.
Attendance at monthly Committee Meetings (approximately 2 hours).
Attendance at the TUA AGM meeting (approximately 1 hour).
