The Public Officer maintains a list of the members of the TUA.
The Public Officer is appointed by the TUA committee and is responsible for representing the TUA community.
The Public Officer should:
Maintain a register of TUA members
Except written notice of resignation from members of the TUA.
Insure that the accounts, books and records of the TUA are delivered to the auditor and that the finalised audit is delivered to Business Affairs.
Announce, 14 days in advance, any general meetings of the TUA.
Except written nominations for election of TUA Officers at least 10 days before the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Convenes meetings of any subcommittee.
Answer to the TUA Exec in matters of urgency connected with the management of the TUA during the period between committee meetings.
Serves written notification to any member that is expelled from the TUA in writing and receives any appeals against expulsion.
Ideally the Public Officer is someone who:
Communicates effectively and has good interpersonal skills.
Is well organised.
Has a good knowledge of the TUA and AFDA operations, rules and policies.
Is well informed of all organisation activities.
Has previous experience as an administrator.
Is a member of the TUA committee.
The Public Officer is appointed at the TUA AGM and is appointed for a term of 12 months.
The estimated time commitment required as the Public Officer is 5 hour a month.
