The League Director is responsible for the coordination and running of the official TUA league competitions, encompassing the seasonal Beginner and Intermediate Social Leagues and Tasmanian Ultimate Challenge (TUC) league.
The League Director is responsible to the TUA Executive Committee and the members of the TUA.
The League Director should:
Promote the league.
Create balanced teams for all division.
Develop a schedule of games for all divisions.
Coordinate the weekly operations of the league competition.
Be the point of contact for all team captains and players.
Collect and collate game and spirit scores.
Keep custody of the league equipment including kit bag, first aid kit, score boards, and timer.
Collect any cash and cheque payments and deposit them in the TUA bank account.
Provide weekly score updates to tas-ultimate and the Website Administrator.
Coordinate end of season awards, prizes and presentations for all divisions.
Provide feedback for the maintenance of an up-to-date League Directors manual.
Provide a report on the league competition to the TUA President within a fortnight of the league finals.
Provide a summary of finances to the TUA Treasurer within a fortnight of the league finals.
Access to internet, email, web and a word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Strong written (especially email) and oral communication skills
Be a member of the AFDA and TUA and abide by their policies
Must have access to a printer.
Knowledge of the current TUA League specific rules and guidelines.
Previous experience as a director of leagues or structured competition.
Good working knowledge of the TUA.
Be familiar with the TUA and AFDA registration systems.
